Ten things People usually do at IGIT

IGIT
College life, as they say is celebration. A celebration of life's smallest moment of joy, sadness and frustration. Here's the top ten thing people generally do in IGIT.

10. Studying

Well, very few people do that when sems aren't around. But during semestar, most of our fellow IGITians become devotee of JPH and Alok. And if you consider yourself out of these students, then you have a really bright future ahead. :p

9. Anantsayan yatra

Every IGITians will agree that 'Sunset at Brahmani' is the most beautiful thing to watch in IGIT. And we guys love to capture such stills in our phone. Moreover, these trips to Brahmani never fails to provide a number of good profile and cover photos.

8. KFC and Maggi

KFC, as you all know stands for Khuntia n Food Court. Snacks at foodcourt, with a cup of coffee or a bottle of mountaindew, stands for style in IGIT. Masala kurkure and badam pakoda at Mushi are also considered as masterchef dishes among us. This one is our fav one I think, Maggi. About 99% of IGITians are very good maggi chefs. And a bunch of people skip dinner so that they can maggi at 2AM and stay awake for rest of the night. But, this has a major drawback though, one !0 tankia maggi is generally eaten by a minimum of 4 people. lol

7. TV Series and Cricket matches

From FRIENDS to Mahabharat,Naruto to Sherlock we IGITians pass our time watching these TV series. We IGITians never miss any reality show, from Big Boss to DID everything, aired on our common room tv. And in case we miss any episode, thanks to our free WiFi facility,we download it. And the cheers and chants during cricket matches really adds spice to the match.

6. Talcher trips

Maybe its a birthday or anything special, we speak out "Chal be Talcher jiba". And its not only about outing in talcher, Surya Dhaaba,Dadra Ghati also comes under consider when we plan to go out.

5. Counter-Strike

Picture this. You enter a room and you see a group of guys sitting at different corners of the room, staring into their laptops and shouting " Cover Me " at each other. What comes to your mind? Yes, its Counter Strike! People skip dinner, ignore lunch and forget to sleep- all because of this addiction that is really tough to get rid off. the main advantage of of this activity is that it helps you learn how to hide on top of a tower and shoot a person in the head with a sniper from a really far-off place. #LA_CS_LIGA

4. Social networking

When the love bug bites, the number of "good mornings" and "sweet dreams" increases exponentially. Texting is an addiction like no other. People become zombies. Some guys start blushing and smiling in a melo-drama situation even. They spend all their pocket money on recharge. Also ther's one guy in every batch who is a facebook star, but is never-to-be-seen in real life(No, I am not that one in our batch. lol ). Because he's always on facebook.

3. Chhak

More than 70% of male IGITians spend a minimum of 2 hours per day at Chhak. This activity is basically a part of khatti, but also involves peoples who aren't your roomies. Lovebirds also get a chance to get free air, though for a little time. Otherwise, its sheer joblessness.

2. Khaddi Dance

No event in our college is complete without a proper 'Khaddi dance cermony'. Its a danceform which involves dancing mindlessly, endlessly to item songs. Main advantage is that,it prepares you for your brother's marriage, where you can dance till you drop and catch everybody's attention with the unique steps learnt during IGIT khaddi.

1. Khatti

Most of the people spend 50-60% time in IGIT in gossiping. Topic ranges from cricket analysis to new lovebirds in IGIT, from future planning to latest movies even politics. The main advantage of indulging in this activity is that it helps to create a bond between roomies,a bond that lasts till the last breathe. Or in most cases, till the last day of college.
